If you asked 100 athletes how fast they were, they’d all tell you something different. Until now.
Introducing the USR Rating, the new standard for evaluating athletes.
More info coming tomorrow to start earning your USR Rating.

I remember when I was at Sac State, I was told he’s not physical enough lol. We past on him, & he became the #1 TE in JuCo, & now he’s at USC doing what others said he wouldn’t or couldn’t do lol Young coaches, trust what you see & trust your gut when it comes to recruiting.

USC Jr. TE Josiah Jefferson just trucks Kennedy Urlacher 😳 and Urlacher is one tough dude too… These guys are getting after each other, the competition is fierce this Spring. The talk is true, this is something we haven’t seen at USC in years ✌️

Tennessee Strength and Conditioning coach Derek Owings is highlighting the importance of speed training with the #Vols 🍊
Owings joined a recent episode of “The Mike Keith Show” to explain the importance of athletes consistently working on their speed.
The distinguished strength coach told Keith that during the offseason the Vols will work on speed two to three days a week to prepare for the 2026 season.
Owings, an important piece to Indiana’s national title run, stated that due to poor training: athletes lose their speed quality the fastest.
Expect the Vols to be in good shape this season 💪

For those looking to get a gotcha-enjoy! Happy to be wrong about players I doubt
Good football > always being right
But if Smith runs like that vs 4.38…👀

Incredible performance. Much better than I anticipated McCoy checks the athletic box. Now we will have to wait on if that much time off will cause a halt in the mental side of things

While I love a lot of what #Tennesee CB Jermod McCoy does, his lack of speed really concerns me
Yes, this particular rep is vs the goat WR, but nearly every play it seems to be a struggle
Add a newly-torn ACL to the list... And I am worried he will be in the 4.6 range

Your sprint profile might be right, but your training prescription might not be
Force–Velocity Profiling tells you what an athlete can produce, not how they produce it
Same profile ➡️ potentially different outcomes
Kinetics show output
Kinematics explain expression
That’s where better decisions come from
