@Boflaherty @UCCRowing This week has made all the hard slog of winter worth while, smiles on the faces and suddenly a summer of sunshine racing seems like a possibility! Brilliant photo.

@josefoshea Ensure that the whole population can access the airport by direct frequent rail link with feeder bus / Park & Ride options. Do that and it does not matter where the airport is, at 300km/h the whole population is 60 mins from Tullamore!

@irlchrism @josefoshea I live on the main Dublin-Cork Road, and travel regularly for work. I can assure you there are ZERO public transport links to Dublin Airport. The only realistic option is private car. Look at Schipol, train station under the terminal. That is how to do it.

@josefoshea The problem is lack of public transport links to the other airports. There are buses to Dublin Airport from every town in the country. You can’t even get to Cork Airport from those within 30km. At a minimum every bus to Cork city from the N and E should terminate at the airport.

@ShaneSmith197 I've a meeting coming up with parents of this years u11s. After some feedback, some parents informed us that our sessions were not "disciplined", "structured" and we weren't "instructing enough" from the sidelines!

If we are serious about developing our younger players, we need a coaching shift away from drills, lines & coach controlled sessions. And move towards free play & games based scenarios. Where problems are solved in a chaotic & unpredictable environment. As the game is played.

@conoro Sure what would us boggers know about city transport :-) Another blogger suggestion - put 50+ low-speed (say 5kw) EV chargers in your P&R car parks so we can get home without stopping to charge!

Bogger suggestion. Taxis etc out of the bus lanes in Dublin. Also buses only on north quay of Liffey. Cars only on south side. Or vice versa. Two-way on both sides.

@IEVAsso There's a bit of a flaw in your analysis I believe, it assumes everyone changes 20% to 90% of battery on every charge. The average driving in Ireland is 15 thousand km a year, call it 100km a day. If car runs at 20kWh/100km 3 hours a day is enough at 7kW

Big changes are coming to meter systems! ESBN is replacing all meters with Smart Meters. But what does this mean for you? Our survey revealed that current EV smart plans aren't cutting it for charging needs. Learn more here: [link] #EVcharging #SmartMeters eu1.hubs.ly/H05k5y60

Outstanding win for Zoe Hyde and Alison Bergin in their heat of the double sculls at the World Championships. Favourites Lithuania shot off the start and built a lead, but the young Irish crew passed them in the final quarter. Both go to semis. See: RowReport.ie

@Cianomaidin Sounds like this aspect of the GDPR "Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous." has been missed out here! Or can we assume there is NO possibility of the "car object" and the "driver object" being linked????

Four from Four. Ireland's Alison Bergin put in a stunning final 1,000 metres in hot weather to come from behind and win the single sculls semi-final at the World Under-23 Championships in Bulgaria. Ireland's three other boats also won their semis. See RowReport.ie

Good news from Limbo: 1. There’s no more waiting list 2. We’re losing members That’s a good thing though! Limbo helps you sort yourself out - you’re not supposed to be in it for the long haul Read the story with some quotes from departing members limborevolution.com/blog/the-wait-…

@IrishEnergyBot All of last month and for the first half of this month solar has met 100% of my requirements, including all driving in an EV. So while wind is down, solar is up, pity there is no way to measure national solar production.

Yesterday, wind met 14% of Irish electricity demand. The high was 21%. Total generation met 83% of demand and averaged a 17%/83% split between wind and all other sources. Wind peaked at 28%.

Magnificent and powerful message. Going to be missed from Sky Sports this guy. Not sure what direction they’re going in with increased use of “influencers”
