@BritishLandPLC is there any reason you need to leave these incredibly bright floodlights on ALL night at your Canada Water development, it's bad for wildlife and residents trying to sleep! The bright name board was bad enough but the floodlights are ridiculous.

As of Wednesday, 26 March 2025, all Rotherhithe, Surrey Docks, and Bermondsey officers will vacate the Seven Islands Patrol Base. From then on, they will be stationed at Borough High Street. Your nearest Police station will be on Manor Place on the Walworth Road SE17.

My father died this morning.

@ianvisits @scottygb Yep, I was lucky to be chosen to volunteer as a Gamesmaker and I wasn't allowed to even mention the Olympics in my office in the weeks leading up to it 🤦‍♀️ When I walked back into my office after 2 weeks leave I got a round of applause 😂

@scottygb I found it fascinating how in the run up to 2012, it was all doom and gloom and people moaning about security, costs, disruption, strikes, etc etc etc. The morning after the opening ceremony, everyone was like "yeah, always said it was going to be great".

With 5 days to Paris Olympic Opening, still think back at how the London 2012 Opening was simply magnificent. Industrial Revolution segment one of the best British television moments of all time.

@MichaelRosenYes I remember Kaolin and Morphine (don’t remember ever having it) but best of all I loved those little tins of pink Germolene and gripe water.

Do you remember when you could go into a chemist and buy over the counter 'K-morf' (as we called it)? It was a mix of china clay and morphine so if you had diarrhoea, it both clogged you up and killed the pain. Did people use it for...er...other purposes?
