Empowering you to change what isn't working by getting clarity about what matters - as what matters continues to change.

@MarcelBeFree I think that’s fine. Rather than put pressure on yourself to narrow to a topic, put pressure on to always at value. So whatever you write, make sure it helps people think or laugh or see themselves in it or anything really that feels like it makes a difference in some way.

Distraction is a symptom, not the disease.
Direction = Vision (most chase shiny objects)
Clarity = Action (most wait to "feel ready")
Priorities = Discipline (most can't commit)
Master these 3, and your focus becomes your unfair advantage.
A month of laser-focused writing proved this. Results don’t lie.
Thanks to @TimDenning’s challenge for the push.

@exilesintime Yeah..."Why" often feels like an attack or interrogation and immediately puts us on the defensive. But luckily every "Why" can easily be changed to a "How" or a "What".
'Why did you do that?' becomes 'What went into that decision?' or 'How did you come up with that approach?'

@LesleyWorthy66 Yes very true! I don’t want to appear disrespectful or hurt their feelings by questioning so I stay quiet. But maybe it’s the way I ask questions that I should look at? The language is important. Something I wasn’t taught. 🤔

@exilesintime You’re not alone.
There are all kinds of reasons for not asking questions.
We sometimes worry about appearing dumb. And we sometimes worry about appearing as though we’re “questioning” or interrogating someone - especially if we aren’t that good at asking questions.

@LesleyWorthy66 I love this! I never asked questions when I was in school because of fear of sounding annoying or appearing stupid. Questions are the most powerful tool we have.

This is so true.
That’s why practicing different forms of writing is such a good idea.
Anyone can spew forth. That doesn’t take much effort.
Getting it done in 280 characters is great practice for testing your own clarity.

Clarity takes effort. Writing less isn’t about saying less—it’s about refining more. The sharpest messages aren’t the longest, just the most precise.

I suspect this is partly what keeps people stuck.

The emotional cost of growth: · Outgrowing people you love · Questioning beliefs that once defined you · Losing the comfort of certainty Growth doesn’t just change you. It reshapes your world. And not everyone will accept the new you.

Love this advice.
And if you're giving only to get, well...maybe that's where we have trouble staying the course.

You gotta give, give, give, give, give, before you even think of getting. Act like what you do today makes a difference, no matter how small it is. It does.

@bfmcneill There's only up from here. "Do the reps, Lesley, do the reps"
