So beyond happy and excited to say I’ll be joining @mtlgazette as a reporter in the coming weeks. It feels like a homecoming but also a new challenge and opportunity. I grew up reading the paper and I was lucky to snag two summer internships so this is a dream come true.

Back at work after two surgeries. Shortly after I got back from Africa, my appendix ruptured and it caused a few secondary issues. Very thankful to the heroes at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and to my CP colleagues for filling my spot for weeks. Sorry for slow replies!

I'm sad to report that after 11 years with Global News, I was among the Corus layoffs. I was lucky to work with incredible journalists across the country to break news and produce award winning investigative journalism. Taking some time to be with my family. Be kind out there!

Extremely honoured to be this year's @TraversFellows. I'll be headed to three African countries in a few months to look at Canada's role in supporting gender and sexual minorities, and what people on the ground want us know about the global pushback on LGBTQ+ rights.

@karenkho My first time in Japan, I brought back assorted 7-11 snacks and drinks as gifts for two family members. It was a hit.

@KayLaframboise Glad to hear you got her back! My cat once ran away while we were on vacation and we didn't get him back for six months! He's currently downstairs begging for treats, so there's always hope.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. She went missing while we were on vacation and we came home as quick as we could, but we’re just so happy she’s safe and sound at home with us.

@Cain Related comfort food viewing: Midnight Diner, a Japanese show about the patrons of a late-night diner in Tokyo. Each episode revolves around a character's favourite food and they all learn lessons... very sweet and soothing.
