In Maralal ,Samburu County, I attended a church service and the launch of the Kaamitu album at All Saints Pro-Cathedral Church. The occasion also marked 50 years of the Namaiyiana Choir Ministry.
The Namaiyiana Choir began as a women led ministry that helped spread the Gospel during the early years of the Church in the region. Over time, it has grown into a platform for community support through collective savings initiatives, assistance to widows, and mentorship for young girls.
Those present were Samburu Governor Jonathan @Lkinapet025; Principal Secretary for Devolution @Lenasalon; Samburu Senator @SenLelegwe Ltumbesi; Samburu Woman Representative @ Pauline Lenguris; Samburu West Member of Parliament @Lesuuda; former Samburu Governor @MosesLenolkulal ; Bishop of the Diocese of Maralal Rt. Rev. David Lebarleyia, Acting CEO the KNH @LesiyampeR .

This year, I rebuilt my father’s house, the place that held his love and part of his legacy.
When he died, everything was taken from us by his relatives because he had daughters. To them, he died with no children. All that remained was the pain and the memories.
Two decades later, this reconstruction has been so much more than a responsibility, it has been a journey of healing, of honour and of quiet defiance.
I haven’t managed to complete it yet. But seeing it rise, it feels like we are restoring both his memory and our dignity.

I learnt early when I started working with warring communities during The Peace Caravan that as a leader one must be very clear in their messaging, never needing a second chance to explain what one meant. This is because by the time you explain the damage has been caused sometimes leading to lives being lost.
Secondly, one should say what they mean when with their community and even with the other community. Not what is continent at the moment. I learnt this before there were phones that can now transmit to the world in real time.
So Governor Kahiga an apology and withdrawing would have sufficed but not trying to explain your self.
This should be a lesson to all of us leaders so that it doesn’t matter which side of the divide you belong to a wrong is wrong and such should be called out at all times.
For the record this is not about two communities but damage a leader’s statement can cause.

I am overjoyed that Papa fondly called Bishop by many is alive to be celebrated as a national hero this Mashujaa Day. This honour is so well deserved.
You’ve mentored and shaped us, your children and extended family through bold and loving decisions that helped us live to our full potential. Thank you for protecting us and for building our confidence by always giving us a voice and for inspiring many other girls in the community to stand up for themselves.
You gave me the gift of education, exposure, and freedom to dream, even with some limits 😊. You taught us to love God, our culture, our people, and our nation. Through you I met the world and my friends call you Dad because you truly are a father to many.
I’ve watched you serve others selflessly; taking neighbours to the hospital, helping children go to school, fighting for scholarships, mentoring the youth, and standing boldly for justice and peace. Your courage and compassion shaped who I am.
I thank God for you, Papa. You’ve shown me that when you do good without seeking recognition God rewards you in His own time. I’m glad you’re receiving your flowers while you can still smell them.
Gratitude to everyone who made this honour possible: the Heroes Council, those who prayed for you, and President William Ruto. Thank you to Mum and my siblings for the sacrifices that allowed you to serve.
With love,
Your daughter; NL

Kenya has lost one of her greatest sons.
Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga was more than a political leader; he was the voice of courage, a pillar of resilience, and the living symbol of our nation’s long journey toward freedom and democracy.
His sacrifices, unwavering belief in the power of the people, and his unmatched ability to rise time and again in the face of adversity helped shape the very soul of our Republic.
Today, we mourn not only a leader, but a man whose strength, conviction, and love for Kenya gave meaning to the struggles and hopes of millions who dreamed of a better nation.
My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and to every Kenyan who feels this profound loss.
May he rest in eternal peace.
God Bless

My dear Chairman Hon. Gideon Moi,
We have had many conversations in private and I have never addressed you in public but the matter being discussed is of national importance.
The choice to run or not to run for Baringo Senatorial seat is purely your personal, decision since you must have done an introspect of whether to or not despite the many voices you have listened to.
Who you also choose to work with in the national politics moving forward is purely is your personal decision.
My only concern and of many who have believed in you and the party is your choice not to give direction and not to communicate on time of your decisions.
We feel not listened to, not heard or felt.
Especially the felt part, Chairman address your supporters of your decision, lead with empathy, carry us along.
God Bless
