.. to be honest, I don’t really care who else is in this. I don’t care what little stories they have to tell, I don’t care who they think this match is about, and I REALLY don’t care about anybody standing in my way. I’m not here to talk, I’m here to plant people onto the mat.

If you ask me, big boss men should stay out of the way. Adam Pearce is only good for signing contracts and making matches. He shouldn’t be suspending the guy who’s CLEARLY the future. It’s just hater attitude.

They’ll have to scrape your dumbass off the mat if you get in my face again.

Let me give you a free lesson, kid. Being champion isn’t about how hard you hit when you’re fresh. It’s about who you are when the plan falls apart, when your lungs burn, and when you realize the guy across from you has already survived worse than you can ever imagine.

Because belief without discipline turns into arrogance real fast, and arrogance gets you embarrassed on the biggest stage. He threw everything at me—rage, frustration, desperation, @HateThenHydrate—and I absorbed it like I always do, because I don’t fold when things get heavy.

That doesn’t change the fact @AllBarksAllBite came at me with everything—speed, strength, pedigree, hype, buzzwords, and a lot of people whispering in his ear telling him this was his moment. I’ve heard that whisper before. I’ve watched it ruin not just careers but lives.

Last year was about proving I still belonged. Last week was about proving I never stopped belonging.

One year later, first #WWERaw of the year, one-year anniversary of this whole Netflix experiment, and I’m standing here as your WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Same answer. Because when history needs a spine, it borrows mine.

A year ago, I stood in the main event of the very first 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 #WWERaw on Netflix and people asked the same tired questions they’ve asked my entire career. Why him? Why does it keep coming back to CM Punk? Can we get someone younger, stronger, and faster?

Which is why, in my most humble opinion, @NoBarkingOrders/@LetOffTheLeash/@BewareOfBadass/@FearMyBite/@MidasMadeBeast is going to beat @OnClobberTime’s ass next week. I gotta interview my guy on IMPAULSIVE when he wins that big boy belt.

No matter how you slice it, @AllBarksAllBite got the pin, sure—but pins don’t tell the whole story. They never do. The story is I outlasted, outworked, and out-fought everybody in that cage until someone decided the only way to stop me was to cheat like it was personal.

I went bell to bell while somebody played dress-up and helped a sad little dog steal the moment. If you need a mask to beat me, you didn’t beat me. If your master plan ends with my shoulders down because of a sneak attack, congratulations—you proved my point.
