It doesn't matter what they say. they're selling their half, whoever is buying is buying their half. They only own half.

I wanna cry rn.. I qrt about an adopt a few months ago that I absolutely fell in love with, and someone offered to buy her & co-own it with me. The original artist has since posted some very controversial stuff; and they're deciding to sell her despite me wanting to keep her

@Mamalucy_vrc @gentlebold Technically their agreement to make you co owner is binding and cannot be revoked. They didn't license it, they split ownership. As such, this character is half yours even if you have not bought it and you can do with your copy as much as you want. What they can sell is their 50%

@gentlebold They offered me co-ownership before purchasing the character, so they bought her with the full intention of sharing her with me. I don't want to sell the character, as I absolutely adore her, but I want to at least get the money I invested back if they do..
