.@NASCAR is shifting away from using @Nielsen's new "Big Data" formula for counting ratings for now, amid concerns that it's uniquely harming the auto racing series.
➡️ NASCAR was down 1% for the Fox part with Big Data but up 1% with the old Panel method. sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2026/…

@thedawgspodcast The Browns will never win when your best player is Myles Garrett.
English

Browns OTAs start today. Just a reminder that Myles Garrett will likely NOT be present until mandatory minicamp starts on June 9.
And that’s perfectly fine.
Myles Garrett is a future Hall-of-Famer who just won his second DPOY award and set the sack record. He’ll show up in shape, he’ll lead the league in sacks, and he’ll be in the DPOY conversation once again.
The Browns need to develop other players at the position anyway. We have young UDFAs who can use OTAs as an opportunity to make their case for being on this team.
Myles will be back when it matters. And he’ll continue to dominate when it counts.

@A_S12 @NASCAR @nielsen Give the license deal to @TheCW. Bring energy back to the booth, make the races feel important. You can take a boring race and make it exciting simply by the broadcast booth making it feel that way. F1 & IndyCar are a bore yet the broadcast team makes them feel intense.

@OleTimeHardball In today's game someone like Mark Price would be incredible. He was great at the pick and roll in his era when it wasn't nearly used as often as it is today. Plus, I bet he'd love to shoot as many 3s as they are allowed to do in today's game.
Not top 10 but he'd thrive.

@PPistone @SiriusXMNASCAR Listen, this sport can't even figure out the fundamental purpose of a championship system let alone an all star race
English

So I asked this question on #TMDNASCAR and curious your thoughts here - after 42 years, fundamentally what is the purpose and goal of the NASCAR All-Star Race? @SiriusXMNASCAR
English

@EMorrison45 He lost his A game years ago but so has the entire FOX broadcast.

@adplacksports I personally love how the the course is playing at the @PGAChampionship. Major championship golf should be hard. This has been great

PGA Championship is in a pretty tough spot
It already gets criticized for not having an identity compared to other majors, which i definitely think is fair, and I understand some players and fans don't love the setup, but isn't cool to see them take it right to the edge on the harder side for once?
They'd get even more criticism if 15 under was leading right now, and what should differentiate majors from regular tests is the mental examination aspect of it. I love seeing players frustration, we rarely ever get to see it the other 40 weeks of the year on the PGA Tour.
Players used to complain at US Opens all the time, and I understand why the USGA veers on the side of caution now, although I wish they would be more willing to make players more uncomfortable.. one week out of the year
I think it's totally understandable and a good thing that the PGA heard the easiness chatter and pushed the boundary with some of these pins, and I actually would expect them to set it up easier tomorrow, but pretty ridiculous that the same people who would hate if its 15-under leading right now are also now complaining that it's now too hard/boring/"not separating great play enough."
Analytically, there's zero guarantee/evidence that we'd see a higher slope if it was an easier setup. Its actually very possible that skill would separate less if we removed some approach penalty. Also, if the closest thing to the PGA's identity right now is that we are going to be guaranteed an exciting weekend, we have 43 players within 5 strokes of the lead, don't know what more you can ask for.

@CleOHIOst @NBAonPrime Thank God for Kevin Harlan. If we are stuck with Prime doing playoff games can we at least get competent announcing crews

"This schedule tells you what the league thinks of the Cleveland Browns. You only get one Thursday Night game. Of the 17 games that you're going to play, 16 of them are 1:00 pm kickoffs. Todd Monken's first OTA team meeting, he can slap that schedule up there, 'here's what the NFL thinks of you right now.'"
🚨 @RuiterWrongFAN to @VulinecJake on the #Browns lone primetime game, with a season nearly full of 1:00 pm kickoffs

@LetsGoCle @Cam_Jourdan Sounds more like an indictment on the Tour and the largely stale dud of a season ender that is the Tour Championship. Maybe work on bolstering that one, moving it to a sensible location where it actually matters, expand the field, etc. PGA Champ seems just fine

Plenty of people have clamored for the PGA of America to move the PGA Championship back to August for numerous reasons.
Is that an option the PGA is looking at?
Terry Clark: "I really think we've got a strong position in May. Certainly I'm always going to look at what could make us better, but not actively looking at should we look and move this to later or back to August.
"So I don't see that as one I'm really pushing on a change right now."
Kerry Haigh: "Golf course conditioning, while it's a little different and maybe a little stressful because, certainly, when we play in the Northeast, the grasses don't really get going until two or three weeks ago. But I think this week speaks for itself, how incredibly good the golf course can be and how healthy the grass is at this time of year."

@TexasAce0328 @fried_egg_golf Playing two majors before half the country has really started golfing is dumb.
Having major season end before the middle of summer is dumb.
Having golf become irrelevant in mid July is dumb
Other than that, nothing is wrong with May lol.
English

People were bitching and complaining when the PGA was in August. So they moved it to May. Now folks say move it back to August.
Folks, there’s nothing wrong with May. In spring time, a lot more courses are available to the PGA. Including PGA-Frisco (site of the PGA HQ in Texas), which is scheduled to host in 2027 and 2034.
English

@TheSheenDog @PGAChampionship @PGA Let's add that the final major of the year is now before the middle of summer? Golf literally becomes irrelevant in mid July
Also. Hardly anybody in the NE has even really started golfing yet because of the weather.
Just a really unforced mistake.
English

@PGAChampionship @PGA 4. The major season running from April - July is too short. April- August makes things so much better. No one really cares about the Fedex Cup Playoffs.
This should be changed back for 2027
English

1. I love golf and plan to watch the @PGAChampionship but moving this event to May was a major mistake that should be rectified by the @PGA.
English

@Cam_Jourdan Huh? Who's clamoring for the PGA to move back to August? Maybe the Tour is, but that's their issue. Broadly speaking, the May date gives them better access to courses in better conditions than sweating it out in Aug. As for the PGA being on Labor Day weekend, maybe just maybe
