With Carroll out today, he finishes the season at 18 ppg. Sellers for Providence is also at exactly 18.0 ppg, so if he scores 19+ against Gtown, he wins the scoring title. 17 or less means Carroll wins it. It’s a shame Carroll was at 18.5 before that last game when he got hurt.

I’d love to see Carroll make it back for the Nova game but it’d be a shame if came back just and lost the scoring title after he basically led for the entire conference season.

Tre Carroll had a comfortable lead in Big East scoring, meaning he’d be the first X player to ever win a BE scoring title. He got hurt in opening mins vs SHU, with 0 pts pulling his average down to 18.0, tied with Sellers at Prov. Sellers got 18 last night so they’re still tied!

Painful loss. Rough in the paint. Rough at the line. When we were called on a foul on a 3-pt shooter (for the 2nd time) and then I rewind and saw the GA player kicked his leg out to get contact, I thought, “we’re gonna lose this game by 3 pts or less”. Great fight by X though!

Maybe never? The last time Xavier had 3 players with 20+ points in a single game was against Oklahoma in December 2020.
