Ukraines armed forces may not have the capacity yet to liberate their country, but they certainly have the capability of stopping Russias advances. Putin is losing this war of overreach.

This is the question worth asking every time a story like this comes out: if there’s no money for your health care, your kids’ schools, or the programs your family depends on, where is it going? The Trump Administration just paid $17.4 million to fix two decorative fountains outside the White House. Three years ago, the same job was estimated at $3.3 million. And guess what? The construction company that got the contract is the same one building Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom, and they got it without any competitive bidding whatsoever. The contract wasn’t even posted publicly, as required by federal law. So how do you get from $3.3 million to $17.4 million? They added 27% for inflation. Then they added another 24% for inflation again. Then they tacked on additional charges that federal contracting experts said they had never seen before in their careers. And the justification for bypassing the normal bidding process entirely? The fountains needed to be ready for America’s 250th anniversary. It’s worth noting that these fountains haven’t worked for nearly a decade. The Biden administration didn’t stop any Spirit mergers. The issue went to trial and a judge ruled that a Jet Blue/Spirit merger violated US antitrust laws, and would likely increase prices on consumers.
The courts ruled, correctly, that the merger violated the law and would hurt Americans.
So, fellow Americans: what MAGA is really saying is they don’t give a shit about the law, and they don’t give a shit if you had to pay more to fly.

We are now finding our own sanctions formats against Russia’s shadow fleet. And this morning, we demonstrated our results – what Ukraine was able to achieve overnight. This visit is the first in the past 24 years. That means an entire generation has grown up in both Ukraine and Armenia during this time. Nevertheless, it is important that the visit is taking place, and that it coincides with the arrival of many other European – and not only European – leaders in Yerevan to take part in the European Political Community Summit.
For the first time, Armenia is hosting the European Political Community Summit. The fact that so many countries have come together in this way is certainly a strong European signal to Russia. Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney has also arrived. A meeting with him is scheduled for tomorrow. It is important that we all coordinate in a substantive way.
