Congratulations to Prime Minister Carney and the Liberal Party on their election victory. Thank-you to candidates and volunteers from all parties for their contribution to the democratic process. To @PierrePoilievre & my fellow Conservatives: you largely shaped the policy agenda, and won the highest vote share for a conservative party since 1988. There is much to be proud of, but also much to learn from. I hope that all parties are mindful of the need for unity, both to face the threats posed by Donald Trump, and the many growing divisions in our own society. The deep frustration felt by many Canadians, particularly younger people, is real. Let’s all do our part to strengthen and renew Canada, our home.

This is going to be most likely a small minority government for the Liberals. The Conservatives have overperformed the polls with almost 41% and have redrawn the map with a new voter coalition. Pierre Poilievre must stay on - we could be in an election again in 12 months

Elections are the bedrock of our democracy. That is why it is especially troubling when some parties attempt to undermine them for their own benefit. In this video you can see a Liberal campaigner steal Conservative door hangers right off the door, which is a criminal offence. I saw lots of people that were genuinely emotional at the rally in Calgary this afternoon. A lot of Canadians have been struggling for the last decade, and are at their wits' end. People are working hard, and don't seem to have anything to show for it. Pierre's message of change is giving them hope.
