Guardian Foundry 1.0 is live. Over 500 training units, zero to Tier 3 SOC and beyond, on one platform. It's a virtual training internship. Report submissions, 1 on 1 instructor reviews, and live coaching calls to keep you on track. The path: 🖥️ IT experience. OS internals, networking, real tickets in a Virtual Helpdesk, and enterprise Active Directory GPOs. 🔍 Tier 1 triage. Live malware IOC analysis, log hunting in ELK, email and malspam threats. Then work a live alert queue in our Virtual SOC and submit a full incident report for instructor review. 🧪 Tier 2 investigation. Fully compromised Windows endpoints, threat hunting, DFIR. A Tier 2 Virtual SOC at the level of our CDCP practical. ⚙️ Tier 3 and beyond. Detection Engineering with YARA, Sigma, and Snort in a full Detection as Code pipeline. Branch into CTI, GRC, cloud, and offensive security. CDCA and CDETH certifications are live today. Full cert ladder is next. Founder's rates through July 31: annual plans are already 15% off, the Founder's rate stacks another 30% on top, locked for as long as you stay subscribed. Adventurer: $206/yr ($17.17/mo) Guardian: $563/yr ($46.92/mo) Rates go up later this year. Yours won't. Code FOUNDRYFOUNDER. We're streaming the full walkthrough today at 1PM EST. See you there.

@IceSolst @Level_Effect @AnthonyBendas 100%.... imo its not enough to hire a tester that just has a certificate... they need to demonstrate they have that curious mindset to research, learn, adapt etc for me thats way more valuable than any certificate.

I keep seeing these cybersecurity resume mistakes, so here's some advice: > Marking tools as skills. Metasploit is not a skill. Assumed breach testing is. Procmon is not a skill. Windows forensics is. Highlight your abilities, then let your resume back it up. > No metrics, or scattering them. "4+ years IT as a SysAdmin, oversee 1,000+ endpoints, 50 accounts, 25% fewer compromise events" Should be line one on page 1, not hidden in bullets on page 2. > Not showing experience when lacking it by title. Home lab projects, write ups, and research go at the top. They ARE your experience in this case.

@IceSolst @AnthonyBendas yes exactly, that would show such a strong ability to produce results without guidance or documentation available and bonus points for making it something useful other pokemon trainers could use too !

@Level_Effect @AnthonyBendas I wish more folks posted side projects on their resumes. Eg if you made a web app to upload your Pokémon .sav file and modify stats? I’d instantly want to interview you

Position your value: - if you're in school or studying or career changer then you have no professional experience, so you must show your home labs/projects/research high up - don't bold random things, and keywords/tools are NOT skills, but what you do WITH them are

Tighter one liner "Incident Response Leader and former Director of Cybersecurity with 17+ years in threat mitigation, digital forensics, and advanced threat hunting. NATO CCDCOE Key Leader (265 personnel, 2 countries) with secret clearance. USAF Veteran. "

Important metrics: - Time saved/protected - Money responsible for / prevented loss - Endpoint coverage / account coverage - # of things/items did, and results of it - and so on

"4+ years IT, Senior SysAdmin, manage 1000+ endpoints, 50 clients/accounts, and achieved a 25% reduction in account compromise events." was only discovered after reading various points on the resume and should have been communicated from the start

Sneak peek of our credential redesign coming soon: - Instructor Certified = you submitted reports and humans reviewed them, these are hard and should stand out - simpler, cleaner, concise, no ambiguous artwork in the way - cert name and words are more industry appropriate - easier for employers and recruiters to understand, more professional We just kicked off the 1.0 of our personalized cybersecurity training and this deserved an update with it. Current holders will get the new badges with updated descriptions automatically. Questions about any of the certs? Ask away.

I’ve reviewed a lot of resumes over the years as a hiring manager and helped quite a few students land offers. One even got a job offer after I reviewed their resume live on stream. This Friday, July 17 at 12PM EST I’m doing another live resume review session. I’ll randomly select 3 to 4 submitted resumes and spend 10 to 15 minutes on each one. I’ll break down what’s working, what’s not, and what actually needs to change. Even if yours doesn’t get picked, there should still be useful takeaways. If you want your resume looked at, submit it by July 16 at 5PM EST here: forms.gle/7YXf7fkY1uYTwJ… This is always an interactive stream, so bring your questions and comments.

"What's your biggest pain point in Cybersecurity right now?" Yesterday we kicked that off live and ended up covering: > Where AI IAM and regulation is headed > Where SOC skillsets are trending > Specialist vs generalist > Sharper resume bullets with metrics and value > Pentesting years ago vs now > and a bunch more things with a rant or two It's amazing the conversation that opens up when you're present and a question is tossed out to everyone. These are our new live Cybersecurity Coaching Calls, and they're open to everyone for the next two weeks with the launch of Guardian Foundry. No mic or cam needed. All text, in our Discord in a stage channel. Live Instructor hosting it and answering. Next call is Sunday July 19 at 12PM EST. Dropping the link in comments! Everyone is welcome. 👋
