@PabloTorre @pablofindsout So when the clippers thing turns into a nothing-burger bc you (willfully?) didn't report the non-salacious part of the story, are you going to show ownership for it?

Have been spending the last few months reporting and fact-checking a new @pablofindsout investigation. It involves Jeffrey Epstein. Part I drops first thing in the morning 👀

@WestsideLAGuy As a former IMO’er myself, I agree that mathematical talent shows up early. It’s totally false though that anyone with mathematical talent will do good at competitive math. You need to have the right books and a good coach, which is rare.

Mathematical talent shows up early & doesn’t require money or resources. It’s the most foundational academic subject. The IMO is probably the purest measure of human intelligence at the high school level.

For every Math Olympiad team member, I'm curious how many kids are there with as much capability, but never had a chance to take advanced math, went to a school without a math/club team, never even knew doing harder math at their age was a possibility. Is it 10? 100?

@hedera is hedera actively working to get any of the prediction markets to move to hedera rails? Seems like that would be a natural fit if cost/txn is important to them....

@sander_lutz Tillis is saying things are going well, that it should move to markup soon, and that all the things you are pointing to as big deals are in fact the opposite. No idea where you get your stuff.

One of the most interesting dynamics with Clarity has been, if it fails to pass, who gets stuck holding the hot potato (and shot with a $200 million crypto PAC cannon). If Tillis holds firm here + the bill doesn't pass before midterms, that takes a lot of juice out of a GOP plan to blame Dems for the outcome
Sander Lutz@sander_lutz

Tillis, the swing GOP vote on Senate Banking, has now thrown up flags for the Clarity Act on: -stablecoin yield - ethics (Trump family crypto ventures) - and as of today, DeFi/sofware developer protections, per Politico

@NateSilver538 Sounds like more style-based lib dip-shit-itis. You don’t like the style so you ignore the substance. He delivered more COACHING WAR in a season than any first year coach other than Ben Johnson in the last decade. Surprised that isn’t a dimension to you.

The Mike Vrabel/Dianna Russini story really underdelivers IMO. I'm in the core audience for salacious sports media gossip but they just both seem so dimensionless I can't really get into it.

@sahilkapur @pewresearch this period in global comms was characterized by most of them trending towards batshit. That these moves were probably partially artificial is a reasonable conclusion....i.e. compelled, manipulated.

Daygame TM - a modern day, self deprecating, farming routine, where you take girls numbers with intent to seduce them later, that has you slowly develop self love through persistent rejection. To play you must embody the premise that barely any woman wants you, which the game will confirm in spades due to its built in rules.

Nobody is saying there isn’t more engineering to be done, and nobody is saying co-location isn’t ever important. But the issues on this at the limit, like w everything else, are ones of cost. The 100th datacenter in space is getting cheaper and the 100th terrestrial datacenter is getting more expensive. @wintonARK gets it.

Global GPU production is currently 20 million units per year. Demand for orbital and planetary data centers is projected at 200 million per year. This 10x gap is the greatest physical supply chain challenge of the century. Who will be able to solve it?  I know where my bet is.

Non-issues. In your world it makes zero sense to click smthng that might be served from a different hemisphere and yet it happens all the time. Rural telecom customers in the 1930’s couldn’t understand why ppl in Iowa would ever need to call New York. yet here we are. Cooling?? lol….are you serious with this? Just taking a ride?

@LewisWT421 @PeterDiamandis And if your data is on the other side of the orbit? And you realise that inference in an agentic AI system will need multiple tools & resources? It makes zero sense to beam stuff up to space for processing & then back down again, esp as you need to go via an earth station
