I don't think the Americans on here realise quite how broke the average Brit is. Also it seems that Americans are very quick to assume that people just *have* credit cards? I know a total of one person to ever have a credit card.

She was right that spending is out of control and taxes are too high. That pretty basic stuff matters.

A food price caps is so deranged an idea, its hard to articulate how stupid it is without getting angry.
Supermarkets operate on margins so thin they'd be considered unprofitable for almost any other sector. They cater to every price point, dietary need and preference imaginable
