Proud and excited to announce the return of State Champ and Division 1 wrestler Jacob Brasseur on his hire in both teaching and coaching at Lexington High School. We can't wait to see him back on the mat and the classroom in a new role for the Wildcats. Welcome home Jacob!

Congrats to Dalton Snyder on his selection for North/South. It's designed to honor seniors with distinguished careers and Dalton exemplifies this. A 4 year varsity wrestler, state qualifier, and hammer for his team. Excited yet sad to see him wear his Blue and Gold one last time.

Proudly looking back at the weekend we get a rare opportunity to sum up a season w/ a single kid's story. 4th wasn't Breydon's goal, but he beat all of our goals in his growth over the season! It's a story his teammates share. Look out for this young man and his team next season!

As our season comes to its conclusion this weekend we wanted to take a very special moment to shout our seniors and their families. I can't say enough how much we will miss these three on the mat, and more importantly how they conduct themselves off the mat. Lexington thanks you!

Stay in the sport! Either get hooked up with a local program while you are at school to volunteer coach or get into officiating next year. We need officials, it is a great side job, and it is a way to continue in the sport! Hope to see some of these seniors signing up! @SCHSL

Congratulations to our All-Region Wrestlers: Nathan Toll, Zane Tuten, Dalton Snyder, Zack Couture, Breydon Jennings, Michael Bart, Coleman Bland, Tanner Johnson, and Peyton Mathis. Way to make the school and region proud!

After a hard fought weekend, we want to celebrate 195lber Tanner Johnson on his 3rd Place achievement at the 5A Wrestling State Championship. He had a heck of a tournament, and he will be missed dearly next year. We wish you the best Tanner!! Way to represent your community!

We are honored and excited to congratulate Peyton Mathis for his selection to the North South wrestling team. Peyton will be representing his wildcats on the 5A/2A South Team and then looks to square off against North Carolina's finest on March 4th and 5th.

We also want to take some time to celebrate senior Zack Couture's 100+ career wins! Zack has wrestled as a starter for us since he was a freshmen. He has always played a major roll in our successes. The community thanks you and is so proud of you on and off the mat!

These kids aren't done yet! Had an amazing showing at a very competitive Lowerstate Tournament with 6 wrestlers advancing and a huge 3rd place overall. We are looking forward to bringing home some hardware from state at Anderson this weekend! Go Wildcats!
