Drag Performer Seeks to Cancel 20-Year LEXI LOVE® Trademark Selena Scola, a SAG-AFTRA actor and owner of the federally registered LEXI LOVE® trademark, in continuous commercial use for more than twenty years, has filed counterclaims in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California against Cody Barnes and added Paramount Skydance Corporation and World of Wonder Productions. The filing alleges unauthorized use of the LEXI LOVE® name in television productions and related promotions. The dispute arose after drag performer Barnes appeared as “Lexi Love” on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 and filed suit seeking cancellation of Scola’s U.S. and international LEXI LOVE® trademarks so Barnes could obtain rights to the mark for Barnes’ own professional use. Federal court filing: Selena Scola, aka Lexi Love®, Counter-Claimant, vs. Cody Barnes, an individual; Paramount Skydance Corporation; and World of Wonder Productions, Inc., Counter-Defendants. pacermonitor.com/case/61945796/… @lexilove @sagaftra @paramountplus @wowpresentsplus @RuPaulsDragRace @Skydance

Vision-based phone packing! ☎️ During GTC, @GeneralistAI demonstrated autonomous phone packing using UR5 robot arms with end effector grippers equipped with cameras. The system uses a vision-based foundation model called Gen 0, a proprietary model with post-training on human data collection. Foundation model trained on 250,000 hours of data! 📊 What's inside of the model? Human data collection integrated for task-specific training. Real-time task execution with camera feedback integrated with gripper control. Let's have a look on the playbook: pre-train a large vision-based foundation model on diverse manipulation data, then fine-tune with task-specific human demonstrations for deployment. Phone packing is a good benchmark task for manipulation, small objects, precise placement, deformable packaging, high throughput requirements. If the foundation model transfers well to this task with minimal fine-tuning, it demonstrates genuine generalization. @NVIDIARobotics 💚 ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news → ziegler.substack.com

A System Uses Flying Drones for 3D Printing A team of researchers from UCL and Imperial College London has developed a system where flying drones collaborate to 3D print objects. The system, called Aerial Additive Manufacturing (Aerial-AM), uses drones to transport and deposit material based on a single blueprint, drawing inspiration from natural builders like bees and wasps.
