The second annual Induction Teacher of the Year ceremony was held at Meadow Glen Middle last Thursday afternoon. Principals nominated seventeen Induction educators, an increase from the eleven nominations received in 2024-2025. A selection committee reviewed and scored their nomination packets which included two letters of recommendation and a statement of their teaching philosophy. Four winners were selected to represent the four grade bands in our schools - Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High. Thank you for all you do!

Yesterday, White Knoll Middle School hosted a special celebration recognizing the school's South Carolina Schools to Watch designation! Representatives from the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform were on site to officially present the school’s Schools to Watch banner. The event featured guest speakers and student performances as the school community celebrated this national honor. The South Carolina Schools to Watch is a prestigious designation awarded by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform. The recognition highlights the WKMS commitment to academic excellence, student-centered learning and high-quality opportunities for all students. White Knoll Middle is one of five schools statewide newly selected for the 2026 Schools to Watch® cohort.

Right before Spring Break, on a day with nearly perfect attendance, Meadow Glen Elementary students and staff gathered on the school field to celebrate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States by forming a living American flag, an inspiring display of unity, pride and patriotism. More than just a photo opportunity, the event provided a meaningful moment for students to reflect on the values of teamwork, citizenship and national pride. The powerful visual symbolized what can be achieved when a school community comes together with a shared purpose.🇺🇸
