The Lexington Area Crimestoppers board has approved a reward of up to $2,000 for tips that lead to any arrests regarding the ongoing investigation into the murder of Xzavion Booker on June 7, 2025. Information can be shared anonymously to Crimestoppers at 336-243-2400.

Today Officer Walser and Officer Ditzenberger took the oath to protect and serve our community. Please join us in welcoming two new officers to the Lexington Police Department.

Aliya Mayton was reported missing by her mother on June 17, 2025. Mayton was reportedly last known to be at her residence in Lexington on June 16, 2025. Mayton is 24 years old. She is reported to be 5'4" tall, 160 lbs with hazel eyes and blonde/brown hair.

Recognized nationwide through May 17, this week serves as a time to celebrate the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers, while paying tribute officers who have fallen in the line of duty. Please join us in thanking our officers for their dedication to our community.

Public Safety Notice regarding a shooting that occurred this afternoon at a residence on Pine Street. There is no threat to the public at this time, and the Shelter in Place has been lifted from the area.

Feast for a good cause! Hedrick's Grove Reformed United Church of Christ will be hosting a Country Buffet Breakfast on Saturday, May 10 from 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Half of all proceeds will benefit LPD's fundraiser campaign for the Special Olympics.
