Controversial topic: AI. I think most artists despise AI. This is pretty much clear. But we shouldn’t treat the people who USE AI like they are also slop. They might just be uneducated on how much trouble AI causes. Can we try something like this next time, artists?

What’s shocking is it’s not even the same team anymore. The devs in Id are legacy developers, and yet they honor what the founders of the studio established. You can’t say the same with other AAA studios anymore.

You know, whether or not you liked Doom Eternal or The Dark Ages more or less than Doom 2016, there's still something to be said for how id Software are one of the only AAA developers still trying to move single player FPS games in unique directions. No one's doing it like them.
