LIFT COMMENCES 2026 ENVIRONMENTAL BASELINE DATA COLLECTION PROGRAM AT THE YELLOWKNIFE LITHIUM PROJECT The 2026 program represents the continuation of multi-year baseline studies that are used to understand current environmental, cultural, and socioeconomic conditions in the area. The Program will include local and regional baseline data collection activities and will focus on areas immediately adjacent to known pegmatite dykes where Project infrastructure may be present in the future (Figure 1). Lakes and streams that are immediately up- and down-stream of potential future infrastructure will also be included in the program, along with areas that are up- and downwind of potential future Project activities. The Program will build on previous work in the area and will include aquatic, atmospheric, terrestrial, and human environment components and will employ approaches rooted in the scientific method and Indigenous Knowledge. @Li_FTPower welcomes the Government of Canada's continued focus on building strategic infrastructure to unlock the mineral potential of the North. This week, @CanadianPM MarkCarney announced that the Grays Bay Road and Port Project has been referred to the Major Projects Office. The project proposes a ~230 km all-season road connecting the Nunavut border to a new deepwater port at Grays Bay on the Arctic Ocean, creating a critical export route for northern resources. The project is designed to work in conjunction with the Arctic Economic and Security Corridor — a proposed ~400 km all-season road linking southern Canada to the Nunavut border. Together, these interconnected projects would create a new transportation and export corridor from southern Canada to the Arctic Ocean, helping enable mineral exploration and development across the mineral-rich Slave Geological Province. For projects like Li-FT’s LDG and Mackay properties, improved northern infrastructure has the potential to significantly enhance access to transportation networks, support future mineral development, and strengthen Canada’s ability to unlock the full potential of the North’s resource base.
