Btw, the Occupied West bank is now fully under lockdown. The 500 checkpoints that control Palestinians' every movement are all closed to Palestinians. This is effectively a blockade like the one imposed on Gaza. This is another violation of international law & basic human rights.

The #neutralitydebate needs to be had. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. We should invest in our defence forces, in cyber security, get a plane that can transport our citizens and others away from conflict zones. We can do those things and not go to war

@AyoCaesar I can see why this grabbed people's attention, why people raced to help. But this morning the 5 top stories on BBC are about it. Much further down, a single article about 30 migrants who died. Survivors waited 12 hours to be rescued when a ship was 1 hour away. Says it all really

The Titanic submarine is a modern morality tale of what happens when you have too much money, and the grotesque inequality of sympathy, attention and aid for those without it. Migrants are “meant” to die at sea; billionaires aren’t.
