Where’s the outrage?
Fantastic big-picture explainer on corporate profiteering, Australia’s (rigged) economy and the growing inequity here. theguardian.com/australia-news…

@Chhengniem @phnompenhpost No I was referring to an earlier story, which I chose not to link to, as I didn’t want to sent traffic there.
English

Sad to see the once-great @phnompenhpost spreading disinformation about the reason #Cambodia's PM is moving away from Facebook. Truth is Meta removed his post threatening violence and plans to suspend Hun Sen's account for 6 months. rfa.org/english/news/c…

@jack_brook96 @cambojanews Hi Jack, yes I certainly don’t mean to downplay the efforts of those remaining and CamboJA is a standout, publishing most days. Your work has been superb - the pre-election explainer and the Bokor scams stories in particular were top notch journalism. Keep up the great work.
English

@Liam_Cochrane Agree with you but @cambojanews is trying its best to be an independent daily newsroom despite the current environment and lack of resources.

Congratulations to Mech Dara, who received a Hero Award for his reporting on human trafficking and scam centers in #Cambodia. Noting also that all three of his former workplaces have been shut down or co-opted. rfa.org/english/news/c… via

@ICBubbleGum @c_s_wallace @ABCaustralia @PhillipAdams_1 Thanks for the support. But I think Phillip Adams has earned his place.
English

@Liam_Cochrane @c_s_wallace Oh, how insulting to you, Liam.
It’s quite depressing to hear such evidence that the intellectual capacity of management at our once mighty @ABCaustralia has decayed so far.
Hopefully they’re demanding @PhillipAdams_1 justify lingering in cushiest job ABC offers, too.
English

@pamwantspeace No, that’s the amazing thing about our national broadcaster … despite the ever-evolving challenges, the actual storytellers continue to do great work.
English

@Liam_Cochrane So sorry Liam - ungrateful, ignorant, patronising …. we love your work, just sayin’
English

@BelindaJOConnor Thanks Belinda. It was a job I absolutely loved and happily went the extra yard to try to make sure Australians got the best SEAsian coverage possible. As did the wonderful Thai staff at the bureau.
English

@Liam_Cochrane I remember well your very frequent reports at the time. It was very obvious that you were working longer than 8.5 hrs a day. I'm sorry they haven't rewarded/acknowledged the exceptional job you did
