Tackling inequality is at the heart of the partnership agreement. so its good to see this key initiative reaxh a huge milestone today.

10 years ago I submitted a motion to @PowysCC that called on the council to become a @LivingWageUK employer. Today, as Deputy Leader I am delighted that the Council has finally made the decision to start the journey towards becoming an accredited Living Wage organisation.

Interesting discussions today on upland peat management, improving links between @PowysCC and @BreconBeaconsNP, and the implementation of the Armed Forces Covenant in the county. And of course lots of stands and great fireworks to finish at #RWAS #WinterFair

A very +ve first meeting between senior officers, @powyscc Cabinet & independent members of @PTHBhealth yesterday. Huge potential for joint working & service co-location and integration. Looking forward to seeing the development of a joint ALN workstream to improve pupil support.

We are pleased to announce that @JamesGibsonWatt has been confirmed as Leader of @PowysCC and that the Council will now be run by run by the Progressive Partnership between @LibPowys and Powys Labour Group. 56 voting in favour.

Well the secret is out after many years service Kelvyn is stepping down and Angela Davies will be the @LibPowys candidate for Rhayader. A sitting town Councillor and lay scrutiny member Angela will be a great addition to the chamber.

Another candidate giving voters a Lib Dem option this time in a Brecon ward that has in it a former Lib Dem ward is Robert Charlton.

Next candidate today is Leon Abecasis who will be standing as a Welsh Lib Dem in Presteigne at both Town and Community level. The town has a history of electing Lib Dems and Leon hopes to continue the tradition. #Elections2022
