My wife of 48 years died this morning. I'm on my way to being drunk. Not a permanent condition. I'm 78 my wife 76. It is always the shoulda, coulda, wouldas. Nevermore so than with the loss of a cherished companion. Do it now. don't think there is some sort of waiting period, where you get to collect your thoughts, express them well... and be understood. It doesn't work that way. I am now drunk. I just wrote a lot of bullshit and deleted. My wife was so fucking real. An RN of forty years, attuned to all but herself, ironically, or not. I don't wish to disparage her memory, so will stop now. I will love her forever. She was a gifted soul.

Three months ago today, my son and I arrived in America as refugees from South Africa, leaving everything behind in search of safety and opportunity. In just 5 weeks of full-time work, we’ve both been promoted. I’ve been asked to lead an entire new branch of the company — and my son is coming with me. Hard work, determination, and fresh ideas got noticed and rewarded. The training is intense and accelerating fast, but we’re ready to rise to the challenge. This isn’t just a promotion, it’s living proof that America is still the greatest country on Earth — where you’re judged by what you can contribute, not who you know or where you came from. We arrived determined to become self-sufficient as quickly as possible, and we are almost there. What we didn’t expect was the overwhelming generosity, kindness, and support from the American people. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. This country has given us a real chance, and we will make you proud - thank you, @realDonaldTrump

In December, an 85-year-old widow called a North Carolina tree removal company, begging for firewood to keep her house warm, but said she couldn't pay them. Paul Brittain, the owner, delivered the firewood for free, fixed her car, her roof, her heating/AC unit ALL for FREE and then raised $20,000 for her for Christmas. Ever since, has been maintaining her property, completely for free. He has never charged her a dime. This is the America I love!!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

❤️ A pregnant, homeless, drug-addicted woman walked up to a police officer and said: “I’m done. I need help.” He immediately let her sit in his patrol car, bought her cheeseburgers (made it a full meal), treated her with total dignity, and personally drove her to a treatment center. In a world full of negative cop stories, this is the kind of quiet humanity we need more of. One officer saw a broken person asking for help and actually showed up like a human being. Respect. Small acts like this can literally save lives.

BEATEN. BURNED. TORTURED UNTIL HIS LITTLE BODY GAVE OUT. THE MURDER OF TRAMELLE STURGIS South Bend, Indiana — November 2011 Ten-year-old Tramelle Sturgis lived in a house filled with fear. Inside that South Bend home were nine children — brothers, sisters, and cousins — all growing up under the control of a man investigators later described as violently abusive and consumed by rage. That man was Terry Sturgis. According to investigators and testimony from surviving children, the abuse inside the home went on for years. The children were beaten with poles, cords, sticks, and whatever else Terry could get his hands on. They were burned with hot irons until their skin peeled. Some suffered broken bones. Others were restrained and whipped. And despite multiple reports to child protective services over the years, the abuse continued. Nobody stopped it. One of Tramelle’s cousins later described the constant terror inside the home. “He was always upset, he was always angry. Always ready to release his anger on somebody.” The children later revealed that Tramelle often suffered some of the worst abuse. Investigators said Terry Sturgis would duct tape the boy and beat him relentlessly. The violence escalated until November 4, 2011. That night, Tramelle was taken into the basement. For hours, the 10-year-old child was tortured. By the time it ended, his small body was covered in devastating injuries. According to reports, Tramelle suffered severe burns, bruises, broken bones, and catastrophic trauma to his back caused by repeated beatings. He died inside the very house where he should have been protected. The horror of the case shocked Indiana when details became public. Some of the surviving children later admitted something heartbreaking — that while they loved Tramelle deeply, part of them believed his death might finally bring an end to the abuse they had all endured for years. Even Tramelle’s grandmother lived inside the home, yet the abuse was never stopped. Questions still linger about how so many warning signs were ignored while children suffered behind closed doors. In the aftermath, Terry Sturgis was convicted for the torture and murder of Tramelle. A judge sentenced him to 140 years in prison. But no sentence can undo what happened to that little boy. No punishment can give Tramelle back the childhood stolen from him. His story remains one of the most devastating reminders of what can happen when abused children cry out for help — and the system fails to protect them. Tramelle Sturgis was only 10 years old. He mattered. And he should still be here.

My heart melted here🥹😭 An dog adoption event was happening in Ohio where many people came to see the dogs. There was an old man, 71-year-old Gerald, who also attended the event, but he was sitting far away in a chair. His wife had passed away some time ago; a few days later, his dog also died. Gerald, with a heavy heart, told a volunteer, "I don’t know why I came here; I just know that I can't bear the loneliness at home." He just sat on a bench and was watching the people and the dogs with them. After a while, a 3-year-old Blue Heeler dog named "Hank" was brought into the room, who was looking good and often didn’t go near anyone. Hank ignored everyone who was standing near him in the room and walked over to Gerald, who was sitting on the bench. He stopped next to him and sat down by his feet, as if he had found his person. When Gerald saw him doing this, he became sad and started crying, and Hank was right there with him. A little while before the event ended, Gerald adopted Hank. The next morning, we received a message from Gerald, stating that Hank slept with him all night. He mentioned that it was the first time in the last four months that he slept peacefully at night.

Should I start blocking my own followers who are incredibly rude to me? I don’t mean people who civilly disagree with me. I mean people who degrade me. People who insult my looks. People who call me slurs. People who are just in general degenerate? I don’t feel like, as a human being, I should be tolerating this sort of treatment. They don’t deserve to have access to me.

I drive Uber on weekends to help pay off my student loans. At 2:00 AM last night, I got a pickup request at a local dive bar. A guy got in the back seat, completely sober, but looking utterly defeated. He told me the destination was a bridge about ten miles outside of town. He didn't have any bags. Just a heavy winter coat. Red flags immediately went off in my head. I didn't say anything at first. I just turned off the radio. "Hey man," I said after a few miles. "You okay?" He snapped. "Just drive the car, please." I pulled over into a gas station parking lot instead. I put the car in park and turned around. "I'm not driving you to that bridge," I said flatly. He started crying. Loud, ugly, gasping sobs. He told me he’d lost his job, his fiancee had left him, and he felt entirely invisible. We sat in that gas station parking lot for three hours. I bought two terrible cups of coffee and just listened. I didn't lecture him. I just let him vent. At 5:30 AM, he asked me to drive him to his mom's house instead. When he got out, he looked at me and said, "You saved my life tonight." I don't care about my Uber rating anymore. Some rides aren't about the fare; they’re about the destination. Anonymous

Back in the day they used to call me an “Oreo”: black on the outside, white on the inside. 5 decades later I get it. They mean I’m… normal. Up until I turned 57, I thought I was a liberal. I loved and got along with everybody. I never judged people. I obeyed the laws, paid my taxes, and just wanted everyone to be safe and happy. Then Trump came along and the world lost its mind. Suddenly, I was expected to: Hate white people Hate Jewish people Hate Christians Hate the unborn Fear the weather Fear the flu Support child sex changes Want criminals set free Not want a border Love illegal immigration And want every country to get more money and attention than my own. That’s when I realized I wasn’t the one who changed. I became a WHITE CONSERVATIVE, not because I fell in love with the Republican Party, but because I love my country. If that makes me a "TOM," or any of the other racist things the left calls me, so be it. I wear it proudly. God Bless the USA🇺🇸
