On Father’s Day, I’d like to shout out my husband, who made up a game called “The Laundry Game,” where we pile the whole family’s clean clothes on a surface and every member of the family pulls out their own damn clothes to fold and put away.

See: the annual old man screed-ouroboros about the dearth of good contemporary fiction, and that’s why said indignant gentleman will never read fiction published after 1975, etc., ad infinitum.

Just to say, as gently as possible, that there’s a reason that declinism as cultural discourse is nearly impossible to ague persuasively. You have to have done actual, tangible research before engaging, or else you inevitably show your own rosy derrière.
