My dog is dying. We learned this week that Aggie has aggressive bone cancer with probably a month left to live. I’m devastated.

Agatha made it all the way to 13, and I know we were lucky to have her with us for 6 of them, but still wasn’t enough. I will miss you forever my sweet girl.

She also has a sassy diva side. We called her “The Queen” because she has very specific ideas about how things should go and likes to show her displeasure when they don’t. She was a grand old dame was never happier than when she got to lay on the couch and nap the day away.

I need walking-around-Europe shoes for my trip that are: 1) really good arch support (I’m old) 2) breathable (trip is in August) 3) slip-on (not a deal breaker if I like the shoes enough) Please give me all the recs you’ve got!

@pietro_guiotto I’ve got some Tevas right now, still just looking for a shoe to alternate with, and something more substantial for the cobblestones, with the heat breathability will be key! Where I’m from in the midwest we do have really humid summers so I’m hoping it not too big of a shock

Damn, it's gonna be HOT HOT in the cities, many Europeans shift their schedules to after sunset usually, but for solar eclipse there's no way around I'm afraid, but that's gonna be just one day I guess. Light sport shoes will work, alternatively sandals. Anything thay can get wet so you can splash your feet with cold water every now and then.

Walking-around-Europe shoes for a trip. In AUGUST. You're gonna need shoes made out of ice. I'm closing myself at home with the AC on full blast, you couldn't pay me to go anywhere around Europe in August.

@LibraryLydia This is actually my niche obsession, I'd love to make recs! Do you have wide or narrow feet? Collapsed, regular, high or very high arches? Do you need extra metatarsal support? The best thing you can do in the meantime is get your body used to the amount of walking youll be doing
