@dameronsgrl Swooning doesn't begin to cover the absolute STATE I'm in 🥰
English

@Claudettestea Damn them both all the way to Hades I WANT TO SEE MY POOKIE BEAR!!!
English

As we wait for spoilers I decided to try for 100000th time to start Emmerdale farm from the beginning again! I shall not give up this time so I can do @LibraryOfWanda proud!!! This’ll be my thread for any comments on the eps 🧵

@Devlinside123 I've made my point and no longer wish to engage in this conversation, gonna mute you now before you try to justify plastering your children all over social media for money or making them live how any child in Yesteryear did.
English

@Devlinside123 If "alive and doing fine" is how you perceive any of those children then I wonder if we read the same book. The modern children were psychologically abused and the historical children were forced to live rags when they didn't have to. Malnourished, cold, and overworked.
English

#booktwt I'm 300 pages into Yesteryear now and I think the book is forgetting what point it was trying to make. Still haven't hit the dreaded twist. It's depressing in the wrong way.

Okay #booktwt I'm going in to Yesteryear! 🫡 This is already looking like one of the most hyped books of the year, but it seems like it treads a fine line. I wonder which side I'll fall on 👀
English

@Devlinside123 It was an interesting way to do it, the fact she resented it all internally but forced herself through it. Again there should have been more nuance in the self-martyring and what made Natalie feel she had to be that way in the first place, especially when everyone else moved on.
English

I thought she was a tad too cynical and observant on the one hand to still be so earnest about her faith…and the fact that this rather smart woman completely missed that her husband was a low IQ dud…
But I restrained my disbelief…until the ending
I guess I’m just insulted that a writer thought I would believe her horseshit…but folks do…shrug
English

@Devlinside123 Which I'm glad she did go to prison for, but my god the way she tried to blur the 1800s timeline (is that even medieval lol why did I say medieval) with the modern timeline was so messy
English

@Devlinside123 At the end she's in prison for abusing her children. The modern children for the exploitation of them for social media, and the medieval children for unsuitable living conditions, labour, malnourishment, etc.
English

@Devlinside123 It was less of a twist to me and more of a failed gotcha 😭 There was so much potential in the first half for commentaries on misogyny and religious delusions and oppression and compliance but that was forgotten for this muddled ending.
English

@Devlinside123 Oh I finished it on Sunday and my review was just a tired ramble of what a disappointment it was. I think it's a classic example of good ideas but poor execution
English

@LibraryOfWanda The book is engaging and fun…until the ending which is patently ludicrous
English

@bigfinish THAT WAS SO CUTE 💓 the final question is my favourite 🤭
