Had too much fun with Hour of Code in the library this week!

We had so much fun celebrating #HispanicHeritageMonth in the library this week learning about the legendary el chupacabras!

We love using @LimitlessLib databases to research! Today, we learned about squid and octopuses in third grade and chose our favorites.

This week, I visited #SylvanParkElementary! So bright and inviting! Loved how @Library_LauraC helps students connect the future to the past with the display of Sylvan Park school pics from the 1950's. The tree that students planted decades ago is still thriving! #mnpslibraries

Happy tears in the library! Reading Madeline Finn and the Library Dog with a first grade class and we got to the big climax of the story (puppies!). One little boy, eyes streaming with tears, says, "Ms. C, I'm so happy that I think I'm crying?! What is happening to me?!"

It's been lots of fun to watch the library bulletin board fill up with everyone's summer reads!

Our new friend Eucalyptus has been a very popular addition to the library this year!

So excited for this beautiful new mural in the library!

I walked away from today's PD day with a head full of ideas, a heart full of inspiration and a book that I'm excited to read (just as soon as I can get it out of my daughter's hands!). Thank you @MNPSLibraries and @MrSchuReads!
