They re-released them to be clearanced out at Kay-Bee? That was definitely Energon. Either way, female fans were the extreme minority in the 80’s and 90’s. The female TF characters were all ‘hot chicks’ until Strika from Beast Machines. This brand revisionism is absurd.

Transformers went from dead to multi-billion dollar franchise to dead again for two reasons:
1. Hasbro's bizarre discomfort with Michael Bay's films being what relaunched the franchise from the grave.
