@emilyis_emilies One more thing: Deaf/Hard of hearing people GIVE YOU a name. I’m still learning so I don’t want to state something as factual when I’m assuming that they gave Bruno a sign name as the folded fingers or that they are adding to his ‘scheming’

@emilyis_emilies You can see where they fold their fingers when Bruno walks in, and given the signs we’ve seen, we know what they think of his intentions.
I have been told sign can exist without English. It’s incredible and I think it’s history should be taught in schools

i’m not deaf or know sign language so take this with a huge grain of salt: this is really cool and all but doesn’t some of the signs being obscured or off-screen kinda defeat the point?

@justttkyle Assuming since they make changes for other countries (like in Zootopia they changed the species of some of the news reporters) they’re either going to do ASL first and then move onto other dialects! I’m so happy to see this even though I’m hearing!

@JoeFredrick348 “Just read the captions!” Is moronic in two ways: they’re able to hear the music or they could also read subtitles. I’m a hearing person who is learning sign language.

I'm seeing so many people in the comments be like "CANT THEY JUST READ CAPTIONS!? LMAO?" and like... yeah but you're missing the point? This is some pretty cool representation for the ASL community and one of the first cool things Disney has done in awhile.
