DMK + ADMK is mathematically not possible. DMK-59 ADMK-47 PMK-4 IUML-2 VCK-2 CPI-2 CPM-2 DMDK-1 AMMK-1 BJP-1 = 121 VCK + PMK can NEVER ally. BJP won’t this. So left with 114 seats, hence DMK + ADMK alliance can never happen for formation of Gov, it cannot happen. TVK has to approach Court and form Gov with single largest party and go for floor test. All other combinations does not work.

@geethanigai @SriramMadras I guess he is talking about mass defection. Not legal alliance. If 2/3 of MLAs leave AIADMK and join TVK, it's not considered as defection but a party split. In such case there is nothing BJP can do. They could try stopping this from happening but can't do anything after that.
