Yesterday I completed 82 miles hiking the magnificent Ridgeway as I marked the course for @ExtremeEnergyUK Druid’s Challenge. As I neared the finish, I felt quite emotional, almost euphoric. Read it in full here bit.ly/3oCXzVD

Did my first 2 mile run post hip replacement! I felt great; my hip felt great, so I carried on going and this morning the hip did not ache. Next big test will be course marking the 85 mile Druids Challenge. If you’re taking part, have a great time and I'll see you at the finish.

@runningmiker I was recommended to Prof Alister Hart who recommended ceramic so that I could get back to running again 😊

@LifeIASC just been going through it all, were you given an option about which implant to get or did they decide based on your lifestyle that ceramic would be best? given mum is only 76 I reckon ceramic would be best as it would negate a resurfacing later on.

@LifeIASC I have questions, mum is going in for a replacement in 4 weeks. How soon after the replacement were you able to walk around unaided, what was the rehab like? mum is a walker so wants to get back down long walks (10miles+). Thanks
