As a Marathi Hindu who eats mutton and believes in bali pratha, I have no moral authority to expect Muslims to stop doing or expecting police action on people who are doing it in controlled environments. If you ask a Muslim why they eat Halal, they will explain the religious and scientific reasons behind it. Conversely, if you ask a Hindu why they prefer Jhatka meat, they rarely have an answer beyond a reactionary stance against Muslims.

Let's be precise about language.
"Converted" implies persuasion. What actually happened was Islamic conquest.
Another correction: It took two centuries of continuous violence to bring Persia to heel, including the assassination of a caliph. Zoroastrianism survived. Egypt's Copts and Jews were never converted - they were tolerated as conquered people, and were the most economically productive members of their societies. India repelled violent invasion from the north while its ports welcomed Muslim traders who came to trade.
Implication: Europe is now absorbing mass migration from Muslim-majority states that have, with one notable exception, failed to build prosperous, free societies. That exception is Indonesia - the most moderate. Most migrants are from Pakistan.
This is dangerous. Nor is it Islamophobia. It’s a lesson of history.
