Last week we announced a strategic alliance with Medifast, Inc (NYSE: MED), the health and wellness company known for its habit-based and coach-guided lifestyle solution OPTAVIA®. As part of the agreement, Medifast has invested $20 million into LifeMD, including $10 million in contributions to support the collaboration, funding enhancements to our platform, operations, and supporting infrastructure, and a $10 million purchase of LifeMD’s common stock. This week we launched a partnership with ASCEND THERAPEUTICS U.S., LLC, a subsidiary of Besins Healthcare (a global leader in hormone therapy), to provide integrated telehealth services to improve access to EstroGel® 0.06% (estradiol gel). LifeMD’s telehealth services are now accessible on ASCEND Therapeutics’ brand website, estrogel.com, allowing patients to connect with a LifeMD affiliated provider. This agreement is an example of an increasing number of pharmaceutical partnerships applying LifeMD technology and aptitude in consumer healthcare engagement.
