Obviously this is not to say that finD/online SW doesn't take work, but it's definitely fked with my perception of the monetary value of my personal labour. Baking is my hobby, normalize not monetizing your hobbies 💖

And I simply cannot stomach only making $200 for 3-4+ hours of physical work (my feet are always so sore from standing after! My server stamina left my body long ago) when I'm used to making so much more for so much less effort.

People ask me all the time if they can pay me to make them cakes or other baked goods and tbh, generally speaking (close friends/family excepted), no. Baking is a LOT of work, plus materials are costly. Market rate for bespoke cakes like the ones I make is like, $200.

Today's breakfast: Cilbir, aka Turkish eggs, aka poached eggs with garlic Greek yogurt sauce + spiced oil. I also added grapefruit and fresh mint + dill on top 😋😋😋

The cultural resurgence of casual fatphobia/fat hate is soooo fkin tired. I just genuinely can't comprehend being that pressed about something that affects me not at all (ie the state of someone else's body). Like u sound bored and insecure 🤧
