1/ 🧵How much does it cost to save the life of a person living with diabetes? We (@ScottLeibrand & I) did the math to re-assess how cost-effective @lifeforachild is in supporting children with diabetes in low-income countries. Here’s what we found:

We have just learned that one of our suppliers can no longer provide us with blood glucose meters and strips for young people supported by Life for a Child. This has created an unexpected shortfall of around $300,000 (a year’s worth of meters and strips for 3,000 young people.)
