I think the UK art drama is super dumb, given that most people’s stance was “Arresting people over art is dumb and bad if it’s not harming real kids.” Yes, you can think the art is creepy, you can dislike it. But the stance for many was “When you start with one thing, the line ALWAYS moves.” What I’m seeing now with some accounts using Green Reddit as a source is that they’re claiming these people did more messed-up things and using that as a “Well, see? You defended these other things they did.” No, people’s stances were never about defending the claims you have NOW. They were based on what claims were out before KF’s posts. Don’t move the goalposts and strawman just because you’re trying to do damage control. It’s not fair, and it discredits you to lie about most people’s stance. Based on what claims were out at the time, that was it, and people’s stances can change if and when new information comes out.
