40 YEARS AGO: In Oct 1981 I launched the Amstrad TS55 twin-cassette audio system – it taped tapes! Amstrad had set the template and in the years that followed, every audio manufacturer in the world – including the Japanese and European giants – produced twin cassette audio units.
