@eurofounder Netherlands has a lot more rules then this. I lived here most of my life. I do invest, used to have my own company and know every rule in this crazy country. It's "hard mode" for people that think out of the box. Not progressive at all!

@ewarren That money will not reach the good causes, governments are corrupt and like to waste it. Also wealth tax doesn't work like that. If a company owner must pay, he probably fire some people to cover the cost. A rich landlord will increase rent etc etc. This has consequences.

A wealth tax on the top .15% of the richest families would generate $6.2 trillion in revenue. That could pay for: Universal childcare Millions of new homes Slashing child poverty Medicare for people aged 55+ Universal paid family leave Tuition-free community college And more.
