Love Light Announcement: [Thread]

Love Light has always been about supporting the city – and its businesses – at a time of year that is typically quieter following the Christmas peak. This festival means so much to us, because we know it means a lot to other people, too.

Applying for funding such as this is always competitive, and while the team here is hugely disappointed about Love Light, it’s heartening that there are so many other arts and culture events that will be supported by Arts Council England in the coming year.

Despite successful applications for funding in 2020, and 2022, unfortunately we were not successful this time around and our 2024 event isn't able to go ahead as planned.

Events of this size and scope require a lot of funding and Love Light – like many public arts events – relies on a big contribution from Arts Council England to bring such an extraordinary festival to our streets.

We know so many of you have been looking forward to Love Light Norwich 2024, and we’ve been looking forward to lighting up the city this coming February for our third festival.

For two nights in February, we transformed Norwich's most-loved landmarks into vibrant artworks and exhibitions! Our community came together and we'd like to thank everyone that supported us, volunteered, attended the festival, and participated in our love-themed projects! ❤️

Our #LoveCityFoodTrail ran this February-March, celebrating the return of @LightNorwich. ❤️ The trail was themed around love, with restaurants offering love-themed dishes and drinks for the duration of the trail. Click here to read more about our project: bit.ly/3qzhPZP
