Because then Curtis Jones would have been sent off under DOGSO for pulling back Sesko & preventing him from scoring with the original chance. VAR would have to review the entire attacking phase in the build up, which is standard protocol when disallowing a goal. It would have come under scrutiny as a missed foul in the build-up. Sesko's goal (which never had enough clear evidence to overturn anyway) was a better outcome for Liverpool than a DOGSO red card & penalty, for which Bruno Fernandes has a 85% success rate of scoring. Likely 2-0 down with 10 men sounds a lot worse than 2-0 down with 11. The bigger missed decision was Jones, not Sesko. Know when you've been outplayed, don't make excuses & try to claim being hard done by.
