As a fulltime VA, I understand that some can feel deterred from auditioning if they see someone larger or established applying. But TRUST me when I say; Any shot not taken is a shot missed. If you fit the requirements, GO FOR IT!!! ^w^

And of course this isn't to say that lesser-known voice actors aren't good. I just mean that those "popular" voice actors have probably worked hard for their following, and anyone with enough drive could too.

Just because they have previous works shouldn't bar them from auditioning for new stuff. Everyone has the same chance. And even if they are cast because of "popularity"... bro that's not even their fault. It's not like they're the ones who make the casting decisions.

I'm not in the roblox asym community, but the seeing way they talk about "popular voice actors" in there is insane. I understand wanting more opportunities and feeling like the same people get cast frequently, but it's for a reason. They're popular because THEY'RE GOOD.

The biggest red flag for me is when a project clearly isnt far enough along to be casting VAs If they don’t have art (if applicable), a script, or any really groundwork laid then you’re not ready to cast VAs The process should not go: Project Idea -> Casting Call #voiceacting
