I did buy his action figure to get a Ch'od build-a-figure piece, but I only kept the piece and threw the main figure in the trash.

@LilFormers @WizardsComics Like with Steve Dillon the faces just blur together in a sameness. I will give Quitely credit in some great visuals, whether it's the Cuckoo's 'soul punching' Kid Omega or his work on Authority, but there's a lot of ugliness in the characters.

Best Artist of 2001 went to Frank Quitely in Wizard issue 124, while Best Moment was awarded to a tough choice in the Legion Lost storyline that had Live Wire quitting the Legion for heroic reasons.

In the early 1990s, the bestselling comics every month were ANY X-Men title, ANY Spider-Man title, maybe a Punisher book and a Batman book.
Marvel dominated the sales charts, and occasionally a Batman book would crack it.
DC were getting their ass handed to them every month.

Due to screw-ups and delays, I’ve had to spend all day in Reagan National Airport. But I decided to make the best of it. I had a pencil, some pens and a pad of 6 x 6 Bristol boards so I thought I’d see how many JLI headshots I could do. The answer was 8.
