Zoomers might be too young to know but this is what Hollywood used to do, if a big picture was getting made they'd cast promising unknowns for the roles in hopes they'd become stars, unlike now where every single role for someone age 18-35 is filled by margot robbie or emma stone or tom holland or one of the two dozen already established under-40 stars, hollywood's reluctance to take chances on new talent is why there are basically no new actors and we're stuck with nicole kidman cramming more and more filler into her face so she can keep playing 40-45 year old characters for all eternity
