There is always work to be done, but the Guild Program's intent in the space is to bring individuals together that want better and believe that communities connecting make the world better. We are a small but mighty crew pushing for this every day. Nothing is one size fits all in our landscape, and we simultaneously understand that each person's truth should be respected. I just hope we collectively reach a point of respecting and celebrating one another more in the future - instead of assuming the worst or choosing sides.

No it’s not that deep. Feeding into a sexist stereotype knowingly on a day meant for representation just isn’t good for anyone. It’s that simple. This should have and could have been easily avoided.

@iFooYa I will say tho that list they were given to pick from drama aside is a weird list. Like why were half of their options solo games for a rivals event. If my options were ultimate chicken horse or overcooked I’d vote the same they did, their options were weird.

Unpopular opinion- but it’s not that deep? Overcooked is a hilarious oddly competitive and crazy energy VIDEO GAME, loved by all. It’s obvious Twitch wasn’t like “heh put women on a cooking game that’ll be the funniest thing”. Clearly I’m missing something causing the outrage, but ppl only see the worst in things and it’s so depressing.

@TwitchRivals @Honda I feel like single player games shouldn’t be on a list for a rivals event, which half the games they were given were. (Most ppl don’t play in rivals events to play alone) so really their options were overcooked or ultimate chicken horse, and that’s a “strict list”? Why ?

Today, DHS law enforcement was conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault. During the operation, an individual approached U.S. Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. This violence is directly fueled by hateful rhetoric from Minnesota's sanctuary politicians. It must end now.

@Twitch There has been sub gift matching on the platform before and creators loved them, the big issue here is the word “sponsorship” cause that’s not what this is, but if it’s painted that way it looks like a REALLY bad sponsorship.

Having the word “sponsorship” on it made the whole campaign look really rough, when really it seems like they just wanted to do a sub gift campaign to reward ppl in the category. @Twitch needs somewhere else for these events to go for when companies want to do this.

Twitch needs an “opportunities” tab outside of “sponsorships”. Don’t think this was ever meant to replace sponsorships, it wasn’t meant to be one at all and didn’t have anywhere else to go, it should have been pushed as an event opportunity to match “x” sub gifts in the category.

This is a new low for @Twitch! Twitch is now offering "sponsorships" where the only payment is a gifted sub IF your community gifts 5. You have to play the shitty game, do a very overt ad for it, and you get nothing in return.
