@LillUrban

I used to whine about the disguised curse that is human existence but now I just (tweet) about italian football. Calcio, my friends! Calcio! To forget I guess.

@AverageJoe_17 Like You said. Billions spent on the squad. Arteta have gotten everything he asked for. The best CBs in the league, some of the most sought after CMs in PL & La Liga. What would Cholo have achieved in Arteta’s shoes are a more reasonable question.

@AverageJoe_17 Every 🇪🇸 coach propagandist Balagué recently said that if Arteta was given the same time at Arsenal that Cholo have been given at Atleti he’d win more trophies than him.Bitch please, in order for Arteta to be placed next to Cholo he’d have had to win trophies with Emery’s Arsenal

There is no way back for Mikel Arteta if he bottles this. There’s no way Arsenal can keep him on.

@DivusGaius @AverageJoe_17 Also Cherubini is crazy with his coaching appointments. 2 appointments in a row that required balls of steal with 100% success rate. So now i almost look forward to the next one. But want Cuesta to stay for his 3 years. See what he can cook up. Goal needs to be top 10 next year.

@DivusGaius @AverageJoe_17 Also i am really fond of the Idea of Parma playing the most central role in saving Calcio. Already supplied the league with one new top coach. Be compelling if they supplied the other milanesi giant with the another one.

@DivusGaius @AverageJoe_17 Cuesta is doing that at Parma. I had him down as Juventus coded earlier but realistically if Allegri wins the power struggle at Milan. Them then replacing Allegri 2-3 seasons from now with Cuesta after he’s cooked his ideas in the oven at Parma is an interesting idea right now.

….when you think about how Zlatan sort of stopped that Gazidis coup with Rangnick when the team were on the right track with Maldini and Pioli allowing for the scudetto to happen.

A champion demands to be coached by another champion. And not some mid table coach that makes his teams lose in a fun way. Not difficult to understand really. Modric might save Milan actually by siding so completely with Allegri. History sort of repeats itself here a bit….

I can’t stop smiling at this. Again notice how none of these pathetic Allegri-haters are addressing this? They all pretend that Modric is not saying this. If Milan hires Maresca, Motta, Italiano for next season then Modric will buy a one way ticket back to his beloved Croatia.

A couple of seasons there would be great for him and Roma and perhaps others(Atalanta?) should keep him under close observation going forward.

But i think it was the wrong Idea to appoint De Rossi at the time. I think it was too early. Coaches need to properly tinker and flesh out their ideas in order to reach their true heights. At Genoa De Rossi experiments nicely with different attacking setups.

De Rossi flirting with a front heavy Gasp-adjacent 3-4-2-1 with Ekhator and Baldanzi behind Colombo. I like it, i’m not gonna lie. Highlights how dumb those rumours are about DDR making a comeback at Roma. Because if Gasp doesn’t have the players for it then the same goes for DDR

@MaqueEsquire And the third step dutch directors. I’m a fan of Marcel Brands for example. Class director. Honestly i think he could come and take over the reigns of an italian top club, bring Peter Bosz with him and they probably would do pretty well.

Example 900087543 of why Eredivisie is the ultimate hunting ground for Serie A clubs. From the days of Gullit and Van Basten and onward. Think it’s about tactical culture. The dutch are the only ones that obsess about that as much as italians do.
L’incredibile Taylor@IrriducibileJ

I have to defend Donnarumma here. His shortcomings with his feet, partly due to his enormous frame is so well documented. Why the fuck is Matheus taking the huge risk of throwing the ball to him? Does he not see Havertz lurking there waiting for him to do exactly that?

He’d be the greatest legend currently in Calcio imo if he achieved that. I’m rooting for him and Samp like crazy. Calcio and Serie A will never be the same or what it’s suppose to be without Samp up there.

Legendary caretaking from Attilio. Assistant to Evani the first time but now he’s doing it alone. Unless i misunderstand things Lombardo has renewed his contract and will continue over the next two seasons. Imagine if he somehow does it? Somehow sorts it out for Samp?

Hopefully i’m not jinxing this but ever since Lombardo once again stepped in as caretaker Samp has won 3 out 6 games and apart from that managed an impressive draw against Stroppa’s Venezia who most likely will win Serie B. I feel like Lombardo has done it again.
Football Heritage@_footyheritage

Sampdoria are currently fighting for their survival in Serie B. The club and supporters have been through hell the last few years. This was the fans last night, as Sampdoria fell to a 3-0 defeat to Monza. These fans refuse to let their club die.

@MaqueEsquire Belgium is nice too. They are sort of this middle ground between french technicality and german discipline. Becoming a mix between their two neighbouring giants. But the dutch feels more specifically Serie A coded to me.

@LillUrban Parma seems to be fixed on Belgium, which isn't a bad comp. That said the Dutch seem to have a knack for creating smart players.

I would have killed for Lozano at my Parma for example. I think Napoli was a level too high for him. He was made to be a provincial god.

…potentially great signings. Sometimes things don’t work. Lang did not work out with Conte somehow. Conte likes broken kids or players with an attitude but he does not like bad boy rebels.
