On May 7, 2025, 14-year-old Musab Ali Musa Al-Dibs sustained a critical injury from an Israeli occupation bombing that resulted in a portion of his skull being removed and severe brain hemorrhaging, leaving him completely paralyzed. Since then, his condition has only worsened due to the ongoing US-Israeli engineered famine and total blockade on Gaza Musab now suffers from acute malnutrition, and his immobility has led to extreme pressure ulcers, made worse by the lack of nutrition and basic medical supplies. His mother, speaking from Al-Shifa Hospital, issued a heartfelt plea: “I appeal to the World Health Organization. I appeal to Save the Children. Please, get him out of Gaza. ❗️Mohammad Zakaria Al-Mutawwaq, just one and a half years old, is suffering from severe toxic malnutrition, one of the worst medical conditions brought on by the Israeli occupation’s total blockade and the US-Israeli engineered famine. Before the genocide began, Mohammad was a healthy, smiling child with normal weight. Now, his body has withered to just 6 kilograms. His mother, Hidaya Al-Mutawwaq, says getting him milk is nearly impossible. Diapers, clothes, even a mattress or pillow are unavailable. They are living in a borrowed tent with nothing of their own. All she wishes for is a small mattress and a pillow so her child can raise his head and rest like any baby should. The desperation caused by a lack of food and other necessities of life is forcing Palestinians to approach GHF sites and humanitarian convoys, even though between 27 May and 21 July, 1,054 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli military in Gaza while trying to access food. Urgent Humanitarian Appeal Omar Al-Hasri, a 12-year-old boy, is the sole survivor of his family after their home in Gaza was bombed. He lost his mother and entire family and is now suffering from severe burns. Omar is currently at Al-Shifa Hospital and urgently needs medical care that is unavailable in Gaza due to the ongoing blockade and lack of resources. In Gaza, months of inadequate food and nourishment have left Osama, 5, severely malnourished. Even as he receives initial treatment, his full recovery depends on sufficient nutrition and follow-up care. Aid at scale must be allowed into Gaza for children's health and survival.
