In 2009, I designed an iOS app for @Reddit with the help of some freelance devs (folks were pretty against an app at the time) + I even made this janky "Comic Book Guy" narrated launch video. They shut down the app I left, but I wish I'd stuck with this bc my gut told me mobile would be important. Ah well. Trust your instincts, product CEOs!

Hi everyone. Lily’s Show has been on hiatus under very unfortunate circumstances. Lily was targeted and severely bullied at school by a classmate. Since the school completely failed to protect her or even report extremely disturbing incidents to us (she told us herself), we’ve been forced to keep her home since March. We’ll be back soon, just wanted to update everyone and also apologize for any delays in communication. It’s been over 2 months of dealing with absolutely abhorrent school administration, helping Lily through the trauma she experienced and homeschooling her. But she is safe now, loving, caring, creative and ambitious as ever. We’ll be back soon with more amazing content. Much love to you all ❤️

Thank you so much, your support means so much to us! 🙏❤️ It’s truly terrible, the principal never even responded to our email and we had to track her down through 2 assistants to get a meeting. Her proposed solution was to switch Lily out of the class and not the boy who bullied her. Schools must do more to protect their students and there needs to be a serious accountability overhaul in the system.

@LilyKnightShow This is heartbreaking. Bullying has long been an exhaustive issue in schools and it's sad when school administration refuses to acknowledge it's long standing effects, even on those not directly involved. Tell Lily we support her and wish her good vibes ⏰

@CloToshi Yes absolutely! This came out of nowhere for us too, just escalated so quickly. We loved the parent community and she made many great friends in the school.

@ShibleyJulian Thank you so much ❤️ She is so unbelievably sweet, there has been a ton of play therapy with dad and she’s made a ton of progress.

@trackbender Thank you 🙏 Agreed, it should be the number one priority. Unfortunately it seems like schools are more focused on protecting their own and themselves from litigation above all else.

@13washburn Thank you so much! It’s absolutely heartbreaking. I agree about the school system. I can’t believe institutionalized systemic injustice and discrimination starts in kindergarten. Unreal.

@LilyKnightShow This is terrible!! Sorry she had to go threw this with absolutely no help from the people who should be able to look out for things like this. Our education system is a dumpster fire. I happy to hear she is doing ok. Kids are resilient. Nothing but positive vibes her way !
