Don’t think it was even about the child cap for those corbynite Labour MPs, I think it was about martyring themselves. They won based on a fiscally watertight manifesto. The cap should be abolished but thinking that alone will magically solve child poverty is fucking insane.

Politically: from what I understand the party whip is just about status within the Labour party and doesn't materially mean anything. So Starmer removing the whip from people who have ignored the whip just feels pointless.

Let's abandon young children to allow for a confusing difficult time as a teenager and give them no help or support through their education. Mad anyone thinks stopping this would protect children when really it's a good introduction to inclusion and lived reality.

The only reason you'd think children shouldn't be taught about the existence of LGBT+ people is if you thought it a choice. We don't let children figure out the alphabet on their own, while confused in their bedroom. Why should we let them do it about other important realities.
